Marnie MacAlpine has lived in Chelsea for twelve years. The first few years as a renter on Gerrish Avenue, and as a homeowner on Franklin Avenue since 2017.
No, Marnie MacAlpine does not work for the City of Chelsea or any organizations based is the city. She works in the hospitality industry and brings an independent, real-world perspective to local issues. Because she's not employed by the city or organization in the city, Marnie isn't influenced by political ties or insider interests - her only priority is serving you, the residents of District 4 and the broader community.
That said, Marnie is actively involved in the community. She has volunteered on the City of Chelsea Licensing Commission since 2021 and currently serves as Chairperson. In this role, she helps guide responsible business practices while ensuring fairness and transparency.
She is also the lead organizer for the Chelsea Hill Community which is a resident group. This group was revitalized in December 2023 to host neighborhood cleanup events, safety walks, and encourage resident-led engagement throughout the city.
